Cookeville Fun! (Post 1 of at least 2)

We spent most of Thanksgiving week in Cookeville and had a great time with Nana, Papa, and of course our cousins.  On Saturday morning, just as we were loading the suitcases to head to Tennessee, Brooks threw up all over me.  Not exactly the way to start your family trip.  After waiting around, hemming and hawing, and ultimately deciding it was just a weird little fluke (because he wasn't really acting sick about 10 minutes later), we decided to pack up and go anyway.  Brooks traveled great, and all was well, until he had a repeat performance (but worse) on Saturday night.  On me, yet again.

This second bout earned him the right to stay home from church on Sunday morning with Mommy, where he reveled in his only child status and played like a champ.  Here he is "sick" on Sunday morning.  With a helmet and safety goggles, just in case some construction or extreme sport breaks out...

He's SOOOO sick.  Can't you tell?

Playing hooky also meant a special trip to the depot after we dropped off the churchgoers.

While we recovered from Brooks's "illness," the girls drew pictures of what they were thankful for at Nana and Papa's church.

Later in the week we went to the Children's Museum, which had something for everyone.  B found a car to drive with Daddy's help.

Hallie crafted.

And my little mama played house.

We also enjoyed a Thanksgiving Feast at Charlie's school!  He was a pilgrim (much to his dismay--he REALLY wanted to be an indian).

We did lots of other fun things in Cookeville.  I will post about them later (as I said, I have pictures spread out on various devices at the moment--one step at a time!).
