She May Look Like Her Daddy...

but I'm afraid Hallie may have some of her Mommy in her as well.

When I dropped her off for school today, her teacher told me that Hallie keeps everyone else in line. I replied, "Oh, no. Is she a tattletale?" Miss Toni grinned and corrected me. "No, no. She doesn't tell. She just fixes the problem." Then Miss Toni demonstrated Hallie waving her finger at her classmates and shaking her head to communicate that they should stop misbehaving.

I just smiled and groaned, as tales of my Kindergarten days reverberated in my head.

Visit from the Moffatts

Ivy Moffatt

Natalie Moffatt
Our friends Joe and Hollie were in town briefly today and dropped by for a visit. We enjoyed seeing them and their girls, Ivy and Natalie.

Lotta Time on Their Hands in South Alabama

I travel to Marengo County, Alabama, for work every month or so. On my way, I have to marvel at the spectacular display of yard art about 10 miles north of Demopolis. And trust me when I say these pictures don't even show half of it, but they were the best I could do as I was taking the pictures through the passenger window of my car last week.

A Couple of Cuties

Isn't this headband cute? Sara has humored Mommy and been a really good sport with it. Maybe her sister will take a cue and decide bows aren't so bad after all. (Yeah, I doubt it, too.)

It Was Bound to Happen

With the arrival of Fall came the arrival of Cold Season at our house. We've all had the sniffles over the past couple of weeks. This led us to the inevitable: Sara's first ear infection. Hopefully the antibiotics Dr. Anderson prescribed will knock it right out.

In other news, Sara weighed 14 lbs, 11 oz at the doctor today. I should have awesome biceps in no time!

Cooing Away

Sleeping Hard

Exersaucer Time!

Look who got in her exersaucer for the first time today! Her teacher told me that Sara spent time in an exersaucer at school, so we decided to let her try it at home. She is one strong little thing. And as you can see, Hallie was happy to "help" her explore the toys on the exersaucer.

In Search of the Great Pumpkin

We went to Old Baker Farm in Harpersville today to get some pumpkins. They have a petting zoo, a hayride, a corn maze, and a pumpkin patch! We went with Mitchell and Gigi Whaley, Tommy, and Aunt Melissa. It was a great day!

We'll Take the BLUE One...

After our ice cream outing tonight, Hallie and Mommy went home with blue teeth and mouths.

Nana's Visit

Nana has been here this week! We have really enjoyed seeing her, and she has been a huge help with the girls (as always). She has also been very busy taking pictures. Here are some pictures from her visit...

Pouty Face

We got out our Halloween decorations, and Hallie really likes the fake pumpkin.

Nana pulled Hallie around in the laundry basket yesterday.
