Zoo Day!

The Birmingham Zoo celebrated Earth Day by giving free admission and carousel rides for everyone! As you can imagine, we braved quite a crowd to attend, but Hallie had a fabulous time! She seemed impressed by the big gorilla, but her very favorite exhibit was the giraffe one. She is waving to (and pointing at) the giraffes in the third picture. The zoo staff moved a macaw from one spot to another while we were there, and they walked right by us with the bird. Hallie liked him so much that she laughed out loud.

We also rode the carousel--she wasn't entirely sure about it until she realized that we would see Daddy every time we went around the circle. So, she waved and giggled at him every time we saw him, and all was ok.

What's in this Cabinet?

Front Porch Swing

All Worn Out

All this partying is hard work, so the Bug took a little break in her stroller.

Koob!

We played several rounds of Koob this afternoon at the party, and Jon and his dad showed all of us up. (For those of you who have never played, it's a Swedish game where the object is to knock over the opposing team's blocks by throwing dowels at them. It's a great game for a big group!)

Birthday Party for Uncle Jon

We came to Cookeville to celebrate Uncle Jon's birthday this weekend. Aunt Julie threw him a great party at Cane Creek Park, and Hallie really seemed to enjoy the time outside. It was a beautiful (although slightly chilly) afternoon.

A Sickly Little Bug

Well, so much for tubes curing all our ills. Hallie was home from school yesterday with her daddy because she started running a fever on Tuesday afternoon. She did not sleep well last night (meaning neither did her Mommy). BUT...she woke up fever-free and downed her bottle this morning. So, she's at school. And I am crossing my fingers that she makes it through the day today and tomorrow. Mommy and Daddy have to work sometime, you know.

In other news, the Bug is getting a toothy little grin. Her top two teeth have cut through the gums! She's such a big girl these days.

Suspicions Confirmed

I went for my monthly doctor appointment today and had them do another ultrasound--just to be sure we were having a girl. When she started the ultrasound, and without knowing what we thought the baby was last time, the nurse immediately said, "This is a girl baby." So, we're official!

She also measured little Sara Frances, and she is in good shape!
