Memorial Day Fun

Hallie played outside on Memorial Day while her daddy smoked a delicious boston butt on the grill. She played with her water table and her sidewalk chalk! Aunt Heather and Uncle James joined us for an early dinner and to play games. All in all, a great day!

On the Move

Sara is starting to take lots of steps behind her walking toys! As you can see, she's very proud of herself. :)

Birthday Party for Zach

Sara and Adele made their own little baby party on a blanket in the pavilion.

Mommy's friend Shayana has a (really adorable) little boy who turned three the day before Hallie turned two. He had a party at the park this morning, and the girls really enjoyed it.

All Frogged Out

Hallie completed her frog ensemble for her birthday, courtesy of Aunt Melissa and Uncle Gray. She loves it.

Checkup

Sometimes, it's very hard to believe that my little Bug is two years old. Seems like I will blink and open my eyes to see a five year old skipping around my house (or sassing around my house--just depends on the day). Her birthday, though, meant that it was time for her annual checkup. So she went to see Dr. Anderson on Wednesday morning.

Hallie weighs 28 pounds, 14 ounces, and is 34 1/2 inches tall. That's the 75th percentile on both. It seems her tubes are no longer functional (one has fallen out), but her ears actually look pretty good. And other than a yucky little cold, she is practically perfect in every way.

She got her last shot until she is 5! Yay! And even more impressive--she didn't even cry. She just watched the nurse give it to her and then examined the fun little band-aid she got afterward. She was also excited because everyone at the doctor's office gave her stickers. Pretty sure my car is still covered with them, actually. All in all, it was a successful doctor's visit, and she is in good shape for yet another year.

Cupcakes and a School Party

Mommy and Daddy took cupcakes to Hallie's class today for her birthday. They enjoyed them (mainly the icing) and made quite a mess. Hallie had a great time, although she spent a large portion of the party attached to her daddy. Unfortunately, she wouldn't let go of him long enough for me to get a picture of her with Miss Toni.

Little Houdini

Not sure how this happened, but when we put Sara down for her nap on Saturday she was wearing a dress. When Juju went to get her from her crib an hour or two later, her dress was beside her and she was wearing her birthday suit and a diaper.
