We managed to sleep till almost 7 on Christmas morning, at which time we could hold them back no longer. They rushed to the den to unveil their presents, and I am not even kidding with this first picture. This was Hallie's reaction to her new, long-awaited drum set:
It's blurry because there was a LOT of movement going on, between the throwing of the head back, cackling, and flinging of arms. Priceless, no?
(We may have regretted buying this particular present by about noon, but that ship has sailed.)
Brooksie got a workbench, complete with a drill and other noise-making machinery!
And Sara got a karaoke machine!
And as I post these pictures, it occurs to me: I willingly gave ALL of my children noise-making gifts for Christmas. I'm officially off my game.
But, wow, they love them.
We actually had to remind them that they had a couple of other things to open. They acquiesced and put down the racket machines long enough to check it out.
Batman with a drill. Of course.
I think we may be a tad confused on our superhero paraphernalia...Uncle James, S.O.S.?
In true Aunt Melissa fashion (I have the pictures to prove it, circa 1990), it didn't take long for Sara to realize that the only thing missing from her stage show was some fancy clothing.
So here we have a princess at the mic.
