Western Day at the Pumpkin Patch

It was Western Day at the Pumpkin Patch on Saturday, so we donned our cowboy apparel and headed out for our yearly trip to the Patch.  This year we were joined by quite a crew!

Brooks didn't so much want to wear his hat...but he liked to put it on other people.

B loved the tractors to the point that he didn't want to leave them to do the other activities at the farm.

We finally coaxed him off the tractor to swing with Aunt Melissa.

Sara and Nana danced to the live music.

B quacked at the ducks.

And Daddy gobbled at the turkeys.

 The girls loved the calves.

And we washed the calf slobber off.

We loaded up the hayride to go pick out our pumpkins.

Hallie was a picky pumpkin picker.

Sara's hunt was simple.  She said early in the week that she wanted a big orange one, and that's what she got.

Holding hands on the hayride back.

 And giving Hallie "five."

 Sara rode Peanut the Pony.

H rode Queenie again this year.

Then the girls climbed into a trailer full of cotton.

While Brooks found his beloved tractor again.

We enjoyed the beautiful fall weather and the live music for a few more minutes on our way back to the car.

It was a perfect fall Saturday at the pumpkin patch, and marked our fourth consecutive trip to Old Baker Farm for our pumpkins.  If you'd like to take a peek at how we've changed in the past four years, go here for our trip in 2008, here for 2009, and here for 2010.  What a fun tradition.
