My Little Giant

I went to wake my full grown son fifteen-month-old this morning for his doctor's appointment.  Which is when I found this:
I thought to myself, "Isn't he cute???"

And then I looked closer.  And saw this:

And thought, "Oh my gosh!  He's almost as long as the crib!"

So, after rubbing his back and talking to him for quite a while, I finally roused him and we headed for his 15 month checkup (you may recall that I totally forgot about Sara's 15 month checkup and had to make up quite a few vaccines--so score one for us this time!).

We wreaked havoc while we waited for the doctor.

And rearranged the furniture.

And found all of the outlets in the room.  (These are not photographed, as Mommy was otherwise occupied wrenching B's hand from the sockets.)

And then Dr. Anderson came in to check out our little guy. Dr. Anderson took a look at the measurements and at his chart and announced that Brooks is in the 80th percentile for his weight, and......the average height of a 30 month old

And in other news we'll be purchasing a separate refrigerator to store food for him in the teenage years.

He got a good report from the doctor, and here are his official fifteen month stats:

Height:  35 1/4" tall
Weight:  27 lbs, 11 oz

This cracks me up! I know an average 30 month old you can compare him to-CHARLIE! Who is exactly 35 1/4 too. But for now, C wins the weight race by about 6 pounds. How funny!

Oh and we just put safety devices in all our outlets so Brooks can safely play at our house this weekend. Unless he figures out how to remove them...which is highly possible.
