Sara came home from school with (another!) bite mark on her arm yesterday. I was very concerned...until I got the full scoop from Miss Toni this morning. Apparently one of her "friends" took Sara's cup from her. Sara wrestled it back from him not once, but twice. On her second retrieval of the cup, her "friend" took a chunk out of her chubby little arm. Toni said not to worry--Sara wasn't going down without a fight. The entire time the kid was biting her, Sara was reportedly whacking him with said cup. They thought they might have to do an "incident report" for the other kid too.
Maybe I'm sadistic, because this mental image cracked me up. Living with a sister who's two and not exactly gentle all the time can make you tough. To quote Toni, "Sara isn't gonna bother you. But she doesn't wanna be bothered either."
Hallie had better take it down a notch if Sara has started defending herself.
EDITOR'S NOTE: We at In Over Our Heads do not condone violence, even when we are secretly championing the underdog.
