Trick or Treat!

We made the rounds tonight with the princesses (Jason says they're technically dressed as drama-queens-in-training). We visited Grandmother and Bert, Aunt Ellen and Uncle Mike, Aunt Liss and Uncle Austin, and ended our night at Gigi and Grumpy's house where we were greeted by Mama Pat and Granddaddy! It was a full night! Somehow in all of the visiting I only managed to snap some photos at Liss and Austin's, where Hallie and Austin serenaded us, and Sara cuddled with her Liss.

We have officially gotten our money's worth out of our princess dresses and are a little glad Halloween only comes once a year. But a final Happy Halloween to all and to all a good night! (Oh, and don't worry--we'll post Duggar pictures as soon as we can get them from our friends who remembered their camera at the costume party. My mommy/pregnancy-brain kicked in and we forgot ours!)

Fall Festival! (Or Fall Vegetable, if you ask Hallie)

Gigi and Grumpy took the girls to the Fall Festival at their church tonight while Mommy and Daddy ("the Duggars") went to a costume party. Dancing in the foyer
Enjoying her sucker

Watching Uncle Austin through the window

in the ball pit...she reportedly LOVED this

Can you see the big grin through the mesh?

Princesses on Parade

Hallie woke Jason up at 3 this morning asking if it was time for her party. Then she woke us up for good at 6, when she was ready to be dressed in her princess attire. Sara was a more reluctant ballerina--apparently the tulle itches.

Fun with Cousin Charlie

These cousins LOVE a bath.
Hallie and the "pumpkin man" at Publix.
Changing her baby doll's diaper. She's ready for Brooks.

Charlie and Juju came to visit this weekend, too. Juju brought these adorable Halloween shirts, so they all matched on Saturday!

Mover and Shaker

Jason and I saw our little man on ultrasound yesterday. We are pleased to report that he is perfectly healthy and wonderful! And that we confirmed that he is a Brooks and not an Edie. I am actually measuring around 21 weeks instead of 20, which is certainly fine with me (those women who tell you they LOVE being pregnant must know something I don't--or they're lying).

Anyway, Brooks kicked all over the place during the whole ultrasound, which is pretty true to form for him so far. I'm anticipating a very active little boy in March!

Happy Harvest!

This was my afternoon project when we got all of our pumpkins home from the patch. (Hallie's "tiny bitty" one is in the front. The white one is Sara's, the bright orange is mine, and the funky green one is Jason's.) The picture doesn't really do it any favors, but I'm pleased with how it turned out. :)

Punkin Patch!

Well, we've been talking about it all week, and Punkin Patch day finally arrived at our house! Hallie started her day by announcing that she wanted to wear orange panties--"like the punkins!" She was so excited that she even stayed in her bed ALL night long, under the threat that only good sleepers were going to the pumpkin patch. :) (Hey, we'll try anything.) Our girls love their James and Heather.
Hallie loves scarecrows. So much so that I bought one tonight at Hobby Lobby just for her amusement.

Ok, so the coat's a little big. But she was very cute toddling all over the place. Sara has recently decided, consistent with her Miss Independent attitude, that she will walk everywhere. Good luck if you try to hold her!

Checking out the animals in the barn.

Sara was not in fact miserable, I promise...

See, she really was having fun!

On the hunt for a "tiny bitty orange one." And singing loudly, "Where, oh where, oh where, is Hallie's one?" over and over again.

On the hayride back to the farm.

"But I wanted the green tractor that little boy is on! Green is MY favorite!"
Overall, the Pumpkin Patch trip was a smashing success. Although I did have to apologize for our little group when a nice lady on the hayride told Hallie that she liked her shoes. Hallie's response: "They're not shoes, they're boots." Get it right, lady.

Nice, huh?

Cold Weather On Its Way

Looks like the Hallie Bug may well get to wear her (adorable) new purple coat this week! Brrrr...

From the Weather Blog:

"Unless all the major computer models are wrong (the GFS, NOGAPS, European, and Canadian), a strong cold front will blast through Alabama late this week, bringing the coldest air of the season by far. We could see highs on Friday and Saturday struggle to reach 55 degrees, with strong north winds making it feel colder. And, by Sunday morning, temperatures in the 30s are likely in north Alabama, maybe as far south as Birmingham."

Weekend with Gigi and Grumpy

While Mommy and Daddy went to Oxford this weekend, Gigi and Grumpy kept the girls (with some help from Mama Pat and Grandaddy, as I understand it). Looks like they had a great time!

In the Grove

Well, the game and the weather stunk. But we had a good time tailgating in the Grove. And we even hosted a few enemy fans without incident. :)
