Observance of the Traumatic (I Mean, Triumphal) Entry

At Nana's church, like many other churches, the children process waving palm branches on Palm Sunday morning. But at Nana's church they took the nursery kids in the processional this year too (with no warning to the parents to sit strategically in the sanctuary). The nursery kids included visiting nursery kids, which included the Bug.
Hallie walked down the aisle looking adorable in her little green dress waving her branch that was as big as she was...until she spotted her parents. She stopped stock still and screamed, "My Daddy!" until Jason came out of the pew, down the aisle, and wrenched her from the arms of the nursery worker who wasn't entirely sure about giving the visiting kid to this strange man who was insisting that she was his. Nevermind that we managed to hold up all of the older children AND the choir...they eventually made it down the aisle. And Hallie recovered after a little time in Papa's lap. But wow, what a scene!
