Thankfully, A.J. is a very patient houseguest and let both his big cousins cuddle with him before their naps.
After naps, we celebrated by, what else?, bowling. (What? You don't bowl on Cinco de Mayo?)
Bear with the picture quality. Mommy had only an iphone.
Aren't our shoes LOVELY?
About the only thing better than bowling if you're a Head child is bowling with James and Heather.
Daddy had to help some.
And we sat in Heather's lap between turns.
Or in the high seats where we could watch all the action.
We cheered (sometimes quite loudly!) for our ball to knock down the pins.
And sometimes we stole Mommy's phone during her turn so we could take pictures of all the balls, which were pretty colors.
And ultimately we decided to keep our day jobs. This was not the grown-ups' finest bowling night.
For supper, we went to another authentic Mexican destination in honor of the day--Jim N Nicks BBQ. Toward the end of the meal, Brooks got a little antsy and crawled into Mommy's lap to play. We like to call him "Risky Business" when he dons Mommy's sunglasses...
And ol' R.B. loves his mama.
All in all, a fun day. Hope next year's Cinco de Mayo is just as action-packed (and authentic)!
