Well, despite what the (lack of) posts on the blog would tell you, we have not been hibernating since Sara broke her arm. My girl has not wasted a second. Her teachers said the first thing she said when she walked into school with a cast on her arm was "I can still do everything myself." And she has. She has even been writing with her left hand...check this out:
The weekend after the big hospital visit, we went to Birmingham for A.J.'s first birthday party. I won't post all the pictures of the party because I don't wanna steal Melissa's thunder. But she threw him a great baseball-themed cookout and party, and he was an adorable birthday boy.
He had some lovely party guests...
He also very much enjoyed his cake!
After celebrating with A.J., we went to Mama Pat's house for supper to celebrate the other April birthdays--Melissa and Ted.
We played a little cornhole and enjoyed the beautiful afternoon.
And last week, we had a paint party for Hallie's birthday!
Considering my prior attempts at birthday cakes, I was pretty excited about the palette cake--it actually looked like a palette! It's a miracle! :)
The birthday girl was just a tad excited to see her friends from Birmingham.
That night, we went to Gigi's house to celebrate the birthday girl AND Mother's Day. We know how to pack a day! :)
What a whirlwind month!
