I am the very proud mommy of a beautiful baby girl!

Hallie Kay Head was born at 4:56 pm on Friday, May 18th. She weighed 8 lbs 3 ounces, and is taking after her parents, measuring a long 22 inches.

Scary Proposition

I am extremely concerned about the possibility of parents finding out the sex of their babies at six weeks of age, when abortion remains legal (if not celebrated) in our country.

Bittersweet

Tomorrow is my last day at work. This is very exciting, because it means we're one step closer to Baby Girl's arrival! (And I am growing more impatient by the hour.)

But, of course, it's also very hard to believe that almost a year has passed since I joined the judge's staff. What started out as slightly overwhelming has become rewarding, and I can't imagine starting my career any other way. I guess I'll have to change the "about me" line at the top of the blog, since these are no longer the life and times of a judicial clerk. For the next few months, it'll just be the (bleary-eyed) life and times of a new mom. :)
